We all know how frustrating it is to be a beginner swing dancer, get to an event and at some point in the evening see all the other dancers gather in the middle of the dance floor and start this line dance that everybody seems to know but you… We’ve all been there!
That’s why we’ve decided to teach the Shim Sham here online!
You can also download the video to your computer (right-click and save the link as…).
This first video is the whole routine danced to the music. We’ll be recording and uploading very soon individual instructional videos for each of the moves of the Shim Sham. So make sure to register to our rss feed if you don’t want to miss them 🙂
The song the Shim Sham is usually danced to is “Tain’t What Do You (It’s The Way That You Do It)” by Jimmie Lunceford, we’ve decided to dance it here to Billy Kyle’s version because we really like it 🙂
Comments, questions and feedback are more than welcome.
You’ll find the list of the steps and the individual instructional videos in the post The Shim Sham – Structure and Steps
